lake winnipesaukee is the largest lake in new hampshire. my family has a lake house out there in a wee little town called wolfeboro. it's pretty cool out there. the lake itself can provide hours of entertainment. sailing, swimming, kayaking, tubing and then there's the large inflatable tube trampoline (we don't have one, but our neighbours do).
in the wintertime, the lake freezes over and people drive out onto the ice and ice-fish. mark and my dad had a little adventure out on the icy lake a couple of winters (new england winters) ago. they got lost on the lake (it's a big lake) without my dad's map -- it's his lifesaver. i'm afraid of the ice breaking so i hung back.

wolfeboro comes to life in the summertime. especially on july 4th. the fireworks display they put on is quite spectacular. i have a thing for fireworks, too.
