bosox
it's baseball season back home -- i'm lucky that skytv shows a bosox (boston red sox) game on occasion. i'm a big fan of the bosox, admittedly nothing will beat winning the world series in 2004 after an 86-year hiatus. they beat the yankees in the playoffs (after being down 3-0 in a 7 game series) which was significantly more exciting than the world series games themselves. nothing is more satisfying than whooping the new york yankees. especially in new york.
the bosox are actually having a good season back home -- they are first in the american league. i saw a game while i was in ny with my dad. we didn't win that one, and yankee stadium is no fenway. however, during my two weeks in nyc, the red sox were 5 down in the 8th inning and then scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth. tell me that's not wicked.
last year we went on mark's birthday. andrew had scored the tickets in one of his on-line feats on the mlb.com website. lucky him. we won (happy birthday, mark!) and then went home for burrito's (from anna's) and a lovely ice cream cake (from the infamous white moutain creamery). delicious.
