chow suprise
it was mark's birthday last weekend. i threw him a surprise birthday dinner in town with a group of about ten of us. he was surprised. no idea. it was hilarious. i have to say steveo did a good job, texting me with updates and coercing most of the group to yell "surprise" when we walked in. mark was getting annoyed that i kept texting the whole way to dinner (even during our stop for a quick drink at leuvens -- even that was hard to convince him to agree to). but then it all dawned on him (not until we got there, of course, and he was faced with a table of his friends).
chow was fun. a great little restaurant with lots of tasty asian fusion dishes. like blue cheese and peanut won tons, chili squid and pork gyozas. we finished the evening with a delicious chocolate-crust baked cheesecake from pandoro's - thank you kirsten for the recommendation. i put little race cars with candles for the birthday boy to blow out. good times good times.
