visitors from home

alli and aidan and their two beautiful girls boudicca and nyssa visited us in wellington last weekend. we had the loveliest time, and it was great to finally see them on this side of the globe.

alli's family and mine have been close friends (in newton, massachusetts) since i was five years old. i was alli's bridesmaid at her wedding and she has been one of my best friends for ages. her husband aidan is from napier (on the north island of nz), so they were back here to visit his family and they stopped in wellington for a long weekend.

bou and nyssa, now three and one, have grown up so quickly. i was introduced to peppa pig (a children's cartoon character from the uk) and nyssa's stair-climbing and bed-jumping antics (she has the skills to become a top all black).
