a tribute to purple

i'm a little obsessed with stars, especially purple ones. alli created this little image from a little drawing of mine -- i liked it so much i had it permanently inked on my body. and it hurt. the tattoo artist (alli's friend from high school who did her's at the same time) said he wanted to put it on straight. but i insisted i preferred the star that was a little off. that's what schrage means in german. (for example, if you have a painting hanging on the wall, that is a little bit tilted, 'a little bit off' -- the painting is schrage). it looks nifty.

and the following flowers we bumped into on a tour of southland with mark's mom ... hard to beat a field of purple.

don't ask me what the next pic is. mark and i climbed to the top of mount victoria during my early days in wellington. it was blowing hard and there was some guy up at the top running around with a purple cape (i told you i was snap-happy). update: i have since learned the name and identity of the man in the purple cape (there are only 4 million people in new zealand).

and last but definitely not least, here's proof that mark liked purple before he met me. it might be his only purple item of clothing, but that's okay, i just make him wear it all the time.

I love it! So who was the man in the purple cape? You can't leave us hanging! Oh, and my new armband tattoos are itching like crazy and I'm not supposed to scratch them, aaargh! Mark looks super cute in purple. Oh, was it him in the purple cape? LOL
