blow torch
mmmm .... creme brule. yummy. i don't think i can remember the last time i had creme brulee.
probably at a wedding or bar mitzvah (until recently). either way, they're extremely tasty and my new favourite dessert. that and pavlova (very popular in new zealand). so i'm glad mark bought a blow torch -- it's fun to watch in action.
with the leftover egg whites (the creme brulee is yolk-intensive), mark has got into the habit of making a pav (short for pavlova -- short for 'delicious'). also tasty. not as fun to watch as the creme brulee, but just as fun to eat.
